Samsung smartphones have increasingly been occupying an important place in our lives these days and with a sea full of options to choose from in every price segment, it becomes really a task to make a choice. One such option is comparing your options on online comparison website, Smartprix. So here is some help for you if you’re trying to make a choice between the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Processor and Hardware

Samsung decided not to use the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset on its new flagship but rather develop its own 64-bit octa-core Exynos CPU which is reportedly faster and more efficient. That is a big upgrade from the last year’s Snapdragon 801 chipset on S5. And considering that Samsung have used a new UFC 2.0 technology that makes S6 up to 2.7 times faster. With the new S6 you get an option for 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage options.

Camera

The improved 16 MP primary of the new Galaxy S6 would even beat the camera results of what we saw on the Galaxy Note 4, which was probably the best camera smartphone of last year. The new setup is equipped with OIS technology, which is expected to be the best camera setup of the smartphone saga.

Display

The Galaxy S6 improved upon the Full HD display offered by the S5 to the Quad HD display (2560x 1440 pixel resolutions) on the new device. The new display size is 5.1-inch. S6 display rests at the top of the list with highest PPI of 576, even better than the Motorola Droid Turbo, which has a PPI of 565.

Software

The Touchwiz UI of Samsung can’t be expected to get any better than it has got in the new S6. It is supposed to be the trendiest UI of the latest launches made recently this year. This advanced version of UI started rolling out in the Samsung’s A and E series smartphones.

Verdict

If budget is not your criteria of making your choice, then you got nothing better coming for you except for Samsung Galaxy S6, with top end features on the line to be offered. Though Galaxy S5 is no less if thought about with respect to its price, but still in the smartphone world of today, new is better. So S6 would still get a position above in my point of view.
