Samsung Galaxy S23 FE might not arrive this year

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE saw the bright sunlight in January 2022 and it has been a year since we saw any update in the Fan Edition (FE) fraternity. The reports around Galaxy S22 FE mushroomed but the momentum soon died. Cut to now, we are hoping the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could arrive in 2H 2023 but there’s a catch.

According to tipster Roland Quant of WinFuture, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE might not arrive this year. He says “Sure doesn’t look like there’ll be an S23 FE this year”. If that turns out to be true, those waiting for S23 FE could be left at large.

I suggest you don’t reach a conclusion just yet. The tweet especially mentions that the phone might not arrive this year. It leaves some possibilities for its launch sometime next year unless Samsung has finally decided to put a plug on the releases.

At least the assumption stays giving FE users hope that we could see Galaxy S23 FE sometime next year. In any case, you need to take these rumors with a dose of skepticism. It is also because Samsung has officially neither denied the existence of the Galaxy S23 FE.

There are countless rumors about the purported Galaxy S23 FE. One such report mentions the inclusion of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. Of course, we are yet to get any confirmation about the same. For the unversed, the Galaxy S21 FE arrived with the Snapdragon 888 5G (or Exynos 2100) SoC under the hood last year. It means getting a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 seems legit in case the phone actually arrives.

We saw abundant rumors about the Galaxy S22 FE as well although things didn’t work out. The Galaxy S23 FE is likely replacing Galaxy A74 given the saturation of having too many smartphones in the catalog.

Samsung Galaxy FE series are basically ‘flagship killer’ types of smartphones. They are targeted at a lower price but with a powerful processor under the hood. Galaxy S21 FE had a Snapdragon 888 onboard while priced much lower than the standard Galaxy S21 5G.
