Another day, another video from YouTuber Zack from the channel JerryRigEverything has gone live testing the durability of smartphones. This time around, it is Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the top-of-the-line flagship smartphone in the latest Galaxy S22 series subjected to a series of durability tests. FYI, it passed. Check out how the phone performs in scratch test, flame test, and bend test alike. Note that the OnePlus 10 Pro (China) failed the last test miserably.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Passes The Durability Tests

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was subjected to a series of tests. The first was a scratch test where Galaxy S22 Ultra performed well since it has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top that doesn’t register any scratches until level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Flame Test

Moving on, we have a flame test where the display got a permanent white-colored blemish after 20 seconds of flame. Although the mark didn’t recover, you’ll end up with a semi-translucent mark instead of pixels burning black entirely.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Bend Test

Finally, it all boils down to the structural integrity tested using the bend test. When trying to bend the phone display-side up, the phone didn’t show any bulge and no flex either. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is firm as a rock and the same applies for bending the other way around i.e. display-side down. Galaxy S22 Ultra performed phenomenally in the bend test making it one of the few that did not flex let alone break which is something its competitor OnePlus 10 Pro (Chinese variant) failed to withstand. Perhaps, the fact that the phone has a straight-up metal frame so it will last for a longer duration adds to the structural integrity.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the advanced model under the Galaxy S22 series moniker and offers some of the best specs available out there. You can watch out for the 8-minute long Durability Test video posted by JerryRigEverything right here.
