Samsung is reportedly expediting the launch of the Galaxy S21 series. The S21 Ultra and vanilla S21 will debut in January 2021, as per some recent reports. Not just that we now have initial CAD renders of both these devices.

The images are the courtesy of prominent leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks, who has also revealed some key specs of the phones.

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Ultra

First of all, right from the renders, the phones seem to have flatter displays than the S20s. Still, among the two, the Ultra will wield a slightly curvier (~6.7″-6.9″) screen. According to him, the S21 display will measure 6.2 inches diagonally with an Infinity-O selfie cutout, and more even bezels than the predecessor.

Dimension-wise, the S21 will be 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm, and the Ultra model will be 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm (excluding camera hump in both cases). Speaking of which the rear camera setup appears different in the guise. Not data on the components though.

Also, there is no word on the S21 Plus model either. We expect more details on that and the rest of the specs details to surface in the times leading to the said Jan event. Android Central, which is the source of this scoop, highlights how this would be the closest Samsung has released its S lineup to Apple’s iPhones. Probably, it’s very much a calculated move by the South Korean Giant to bank on the pent-up demand caused by the delay of the iPhone 12 series.
