Samsung Galaxy A71 is now official in India, a couple of months after it was announced globally. The handset is essentially a scaled version of Galaxy A51 (review) but with a few extras and a much better chipset.

Samsung Galaxy A71 price and availability date

First up, the Galaxy A71 India price. The handset will retail in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for Rs. 29,999

Samsung Galaxy A71 will be available in three Prism Crush colors – Blue, Black, and silver – across Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop and leading online portals starting from Monday, February 24, 2020.

Samsung Galaxy A71 Features

As all Samsung phones launched this year, the Galaxy A71 has an AMOLED display with the 32MP selfie camera housed in a circular notch at the center of the status bar. Even with the extra-large display size and a 4500mAh battery stuffed in, Samsung has managed to restrict the thickness to just 7.7mm and weight to just 179 grams – the kind of ergonomics we don’t frequently run into these days.

The chipset is Snapdragon 730. Yes, the SoC is far from disruptive, but it’s nevertheless a decent proposition. Then there is Samsung’s refined Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 to look forward to.

There’s a customary quad-camera arrangement on the rear – 64MP primary, 12MP wide-angle, 5MP depth, and 5MP macro camera. Other highlights include dedicated microSD card slot, 25W fast charging, NFC, Samsung Pay support, in-display fingerprint sensor (optical), Dolby Atmos, and 3.5mm audio jack.
