Xiaomi’s new sub-brand has debuted the Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) in its homeland with an almost identical spec sheet to its Indian edition. Redmi has also unveiled another budget phone, i.e. Redmi 7. This phone will be priced lower than the Redmi Note 7 series. Let’s unravel the details and highlights of both the phones.
Redmi Note 7 Pro (China): Highlights
Redmi Note 7 Pro was launched firstly. Like its Indian counterpart, this one also has a 48MP primary rear camera that houses a Sony IMX586 sensor. Redmi Note 7 Pro (China) is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. The similarities reflect in the display department too. This one also flaunts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ screen that has a U-shaped Dot-notch at the top. It comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display. Other things like the MIUI10 software and 3.5mm headphone jack are the same in both cases.
While it is also fueled by a 4000mAh battery, Redmi has bundled an 18W fast charger along.

Redmi 7: How does it differ from Note 7?
In case you are wondering, the Redmi 7 is not a rebranded ‘Note 7’ for China. This one gets a slightly smaller display and a different chipset.
The Redmi 7 has a 6.26-inch display with HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, which also houses a water-drop notch. Under the hood, it runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor coupled with a 4000 mAh battery.

While we get a 12MP+2MP camera combination at the back, Redmi 7’s front camera sports an 8MP sensor. This front sensor also acts as a biometric solution (face unlock). Redmi 7 features a 3.5mm headphone jack and IR blaster too.
Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 Pricing and Availability
The 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant of Redmi 7 would be available in Blue, Red and Black colors at Yuan 699 in China. The 3GB RAM and 32G version are launched at Yuan 799, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB version will cost Yuan 999 in China.
Coming to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it has been launched in a single 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage model has been priced at Yuan 1599.
