Realme is all set to host an event in China on January 5 where it will reveal its next-generation charging tech. Speculations are that the brand will introduce the 240W charging tech at the event. It is also been in the air that the charging technology will be first shipped with the Realme GT Neo 5. The series will most probably consist of two smartphones – Realme GT Neo 5 and Realme GT Neo 5 Pro.

The base Realme GT Neo 5 is going to be the successor of the Realme GT Neo 3, while the Pro variant will be the successor of the Realme GT Neo 3 Pro. In a recent development, some key specifications of the Realme GT Neo 5 series have been revealed. Here we will discuss the leaked specs and features of the series in brief.

Realme GT Neo 5 series specifications

Realme GT Neo 5

The Realme GT Neo 5 will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display coupled with a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. We can get to see multiple RAM and storage variants at the time of launch. It will operate on the Realme UI 4.0 based on the Android 13 operating system.

The design render leaks of the smartphone suggested that it will have a triple rear camera setup including an ultra wide angle camera and a macro shooter. In terms of the primary camera, the device might flaunt the Sony IMX890 shooter. If this happens, then the Realme offering will have direct competition with the Oppo Reno 9 series as they have the same primary shooter.

The handset will have two variants on the basis of charging and battery capacity. The regular variant with 150W fast charging support will draw power from a 5000mAh battery. On the other hand, the variant with 240W fast charging support will draw power from a 4600mAh battery. For the purpose of security, the smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and an AI face unlock feature.
