Realme GT 2 Pro Debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Paper-Like Texture in Rear Panel

Realme has officially launched its next flagship series Realme GT 2 today. The series has two smartphones- Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro. This was one of the most anticipated series as Realme had been teasing about what specs it would have and what innovations it will bring, for a while now. [हिंदी में पढ़ें]

Realme GT 2 Pro Price & Availability

Realme GT 2 Pro will be available in 4 colors- Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue. It will come in 4 storage variants, with a price beginning at 3699 RMB for early bird purchasers-

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage- CNY 3899 (Rs. 45,600)
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 4199 (Rs. 43,900)
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 4299 (Rs. 50,500)
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 4799 (Rs. 56,300)

Realme GT 2 Price & Availability

The vanilla variant of the Realme GT 2 Series will be available in 4 colors as well- Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue. It starts at 2599CNY for early-bird shoppers and is available in 3 storage variants-

  • 8GB RAM+128GB storage -2699 CNY (Rs. 31,700)
  • 8GB RAM+256GB storage- 2899 CNY (Rs. 34,000)
  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage – 3199 CNY (Rs. 37,400)

Note- Realme has also announced a special version of the Realme Neo 2 in a Dragon Ball Z limited edition variant that will sell for roughly Rs. 34,200.

Realme GT 2 Specs

Realme GT 2 will sport a 6.62-inch full HD+ E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It has up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Realme GT 2 comes with heat dissipation technology and stainless-steel vapor cooling which offers up to 3-degree Celsius cooling for maximum performance.

In the camera specs, it has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX776 primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front is a 16MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6,5G, Bluetooth 5.2, GT Mode 3.0 and NFC. Realme GT 2 packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 65W fast charging support.

Realme GT 2 Pro Specs

Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate with a maximum of 1400 nits of peak brightness. It will have a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and has an A+ certification from DisplayMate. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and comes with an advanced antenna matrix system for improved connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and NFC.

Realme GT 2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that has the new Armv9 architecture and heat dissipation by almost 3-degrees. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The smartphone has GT Modem which brings upgrades like AI frame stabilization 2.0 for improved gamely and lower GPU power consumption.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging and is just 8.18mm thick. It weighs 189 grams.

In the camera department, Realme GT 2 Pro has a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor that has a 1/1.56 sensor size, OIS, and EIS. Along with it are a 50MP ultrawide angle lens and a 40x microlens capable of taking extreme close-up shots capturing tiny details. The 50MP ultrawide lens comes with a ½.76 sensor size and a 150-degree field of view. It also has a fish eye mode.

Realme GT 2 Pro Design

Realme has partnered with Naoto Fukasawa to make Realme GT 2 Pro be world’s first smartphone featuring a bio-based polymer design, completely in line with Realme’s pledge to do their bit for the planet.

The rear shell is certified by ISCC+ and made of SABIC’s LNP ELCRIN bio-based copolymer material. The material claims to give similar performance but while providing 2kgs of carbon dioxide reduction per kg of LNP ELCRIN bio-based co-polymer material. The material is derived from biomass and doesn’t pollute the environment.
