On April 12, 2024, we published a report about Realme’s preparations to launch the Narzo 70 5G by the end of the month. As it turns out, the Chinese smartphone brand has confirmed the existence of the smartphone, along with its launch date and a few key specifications. So, without any further delay, here’s everything we know about the upcoming mid-ranger from Realme.
Realme Narzo 70 5G Release Date
The company has declared that the Narzo 70 5G will hit the Indian market on April 24, 2024, at 12 PM IST.
Realme Narzo 70 5G Specifications
According to the official microsite, the Narzo 70 5G will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. With the chipset, the company claims that the handset will be the fastest in its segment (under Rs. 15,000).
Oddly, this is the same processor that powers the more expensive Narzo 70 Pro 5G and the Realme P1 5G.
Along with the Dimensity chipset, the smartphone will feature a 4356 mm-square cooling chamber. This chamber should keep the motherboard’s temperature under control, ensuring that the handset sustains long-term performance.
Last but not least, the Narzo 70 5G will have a 120Hz AMOLED screen and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Further, the images suggest a flat screen instead of curved screens on more expensive handsets.
Per the teaser images, the smartphone could feature a triple-rear camera system. Rumors suggest that the phone could have a 50MP primary camera. However, the company hasn’t announced the camera details yet.
Apart from this, we’re expecting the smartphone to sport a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. More details about the smartphone should appear on the internet soon.
Is Realme Stuck In A Rebranding Cycle?
Given that the Narzo 70 5G is supposed to be priced under Rs. 15,000, it is odd that the brand is shipping the handset with the same processor as the Narzo 70 Pro 5G, which costs around Rs. 18,000. This would confuse the potential customers and undercut the sales of the more expensive model.
Further, the Narzo 70 5G seems to share its specification sheet with the already-launched P1 5G. The phone seems to feature the same processor, 120Hz screen, and overall design. In two days, we’ll know whether the Narzo 70 5G is a Realme P1 5G in a new shell.
