The Chinese smartphone manufacturer realme has launched a new mid-range smartphone in India: the realme 14T. With an AMOLED screen, a Dimensity chipset, and a massive battery, the phone commands a solid position under Rs. 20,000. The realme 14T is available in three colors: Silken Green, Violet Grace, and Stain Ink.

On the front, the phone features a punch-hole screen with symmetrical bezels on all sides. The back panel houses a rectangular camera setup that includes two sensors and what appears to be a round flash module.

The phone measures 163.15 x 75.65 x 7.97 mm and weighs 196 grams.

The realme 14T features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate (up to 1500Hz touch sampling rate) and reaches a peak brightness of up to 2000 nits. In addition, the screen has a TUV Rheinland certification for reduced eye strain.

Powering the realme 14T is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (6nm) chipset, which comprises two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2 GHz Cortex-A55 balanced cores. Furthermore, the chipset features the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Out of the box, the phone runs on realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. However, there’s no word from the brand about the software support policy. Generally, phones in this segment receive around two years of major operating system updates and two to three years of security updates.

On the back, the realme 14T houses a 50MP (f/1.8, 1/2.88″) primary sensor without optical image stabilization and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the phone has a 16MP (f/2.4) Sony IMX480 selfie shooter. Apart from the regular shooting modes, the phone can capture Live Photos and provides some AI-based features.

The handset draws power from a 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging, which should provide excellent battery life. Connectivity options on the realme 14T include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers (300& volume mode).

realme 14T Price and Availability

The baseline realme 14T, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, costs Rs. 17,999, but the company is offering a Rs. 1,000 bank discount, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 16,999.

On the other hand, the realme 14T, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, costs Rs. 19,999 (effective price: Rs. 18,999).

Both variants will be available via the company’s official website, the popular e-commerce platform Flipkart, and partner stores. The handset’s first sale will take place from April 25 (12 PM IST) to April 30, 2025.
