The Chinese smartphone brand Realme is all set to release the Realme 12 Pro series in India later this month. Models in the series, i.e., the Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro+, will take after the Realme 11 Pro and the Realme 11 Pro+ launched last year. The company recently released a couple of teasers, a few camera details, and a color option.

Tipster Posted An Image Of The Realme 12 Pro Series With Rolex, Suggesting A Partnership

In a post on the microblogging platform X, tipster Aryan Gupta shared an image of the Realme 12 Pro+ and a Rolex watch, hinting at a possible partnership between the two companies. In the image, one can see the Realme 12 Pro+, with a circular camera module positioned in the center with a golden outline. However, sharing this particular image, the tipster highlighted that these two brands are complete opposites.

However, Realme Has Confirmed Partnering With Ollivier Saveo

While Gupta posted the image at 10:34 AM on January 10, Realme India’s official X account published a teaser video at 07:09 PM on the same day. The video reveals a partnership between Realme and the international luxury watch designer Ollivier Saveo. However, what’s interesting is that the video showcases the same camera module with a blue dial and a golden outline. This led to confusion among people following the developments related to the upcoming smartphone.

Here’s The Official Submarine Blue Color

Nonetheless, on January 11, 2024, Realme India posted another image revealing the final look of the smartphone. Although the phone looks similar to the one Gupta shared, Realme calls the color “Submarine Blue.” Further, the company has used the same hashtag it used to tease the partnership with Ollivier Saveo, i.e., “#LuxuryWatchDesign.” Hence, the Realme 12 Pro series will officially ship in a Submarine Blue color.

The Smartphone Will Feature A Versatile Periscope Zoom Camera

In another tweet, the company also teased the Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor and the periscope camera on the smartphone. Realme also mentions how the series will feature 120x Superzoom capabilities. The periscope portrait camera will feature optical image stabilization and a D-cut lens and could switch from 16mm to 142mm focal length to better control the zoom range.

Per previous reports, the Realme 12 Pro series could ship with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, with a 50MP primary camera and 5,000 mAh battery. Till now, the company hasn’t confirmed the smartphone’s launch date. We only know that the series will arrive in India later this month.
