Panasonic’s has introduced a new entry-grade smartphone, P100 in India. The spec sheet doesn’t have anything particularly appealing to offer, but Panasonic’s full-view display ‘jugaad’ did make us turn our head.
The phone has a regular 5-inch HD 16:9 panel but Pansonic ingeniously extends the boundaries with a black border to create an illusion of an 18:9 panel. The navigation bar is present on this extended border. On the literal flip side, the plastic back panel also imitates curved glass finish. All these design factors do help Panasonic P100 stand out.

Panasonic P100 features
The Pansonic P100 is powered by the rudimentary 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 chipset and comes in two RAM options – 1GB and 2GB- each with 16GB of internal storage. The phone accepts up to 128GB of microSD storage
The P100 has LED flash support for the 8MP rear camera as well as for the 5MP selfie shooter. The handset is 9.9mm thick and is inordinately heavy at 175 grams.
Panasonic P100 runs Android Nougat based software with some added features like ‘On Body Detection Mode’ that doesn’t allow your phone to sleep as long as you are holding it in your hands.
Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, FM radio, fingerprint sensor on the rear, 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection on the display, dual-SIM support and 2200mAh battery.

The base 1GB RAM variant of Panasonic P100 costs Rs. 5,299 INR and the 2GB RAM option will retail for 5,999 INR. Panasonic P100 is available in Blue, Black, Gold and Dark Grey color options on Flipkart.
