Panasonic Lumix DMC-G95 aka Lumix G95 (or G90 in some regions) join its predecessor the Lumix DMC-G85 in the market. The new Lumix G95 launch is first in this segment in more than a year time. In the meanwhile, the company has been focusing more on its compact camera line and full-frame S1 and S1R models in recent time. The LUMIX G95 Micro Four Thirds Camera comes with 5-Axis Dual image stabilization and 4K Video recording support. Apart from these features, the G95 also registers a revised design, updated optics, new lens, and advanced photography modes.

The Panasonic Lumix G95 replaces predecessor’s 16MP Four Thirds sensor with a new 20.3MP option without an optical low-pass filter. The company claims its new Digital Live MOS Sensor along with Venus Engine manages to render natural, high-precision images. The camera can record 4K video continuously at 30frame per second. Also, it can shoot both full HD videos and 4K video with this V-Log L Function for which S1R and S1 owners have to pay additionally.

The camera features a 5-axis Dual I.S. (Image Stabiliser) 2 technology along with a combination of sensor-based image stabilization with lens-based stabilization. Out of all this cool tech its that the Lumix G95 can shoot stable image and videos without motion blur.

Another noteworthy feature of the Lumix G95 its autofocus system which employs Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology. What that means is it compute the distance to the subject by evaluating images and their sharpness level while referring to data from the optical characteristics of the lens. Due to precisely this matrix, the  G95 Hybrid Mirrorless can offer high-speed autofocus about at 0.07 sec and a high-speed burst shooting mode at 9 fps (AFS) / 6 fps (AFC).

In the Lumix G95, Panasonic has given a large electronic viewfinder featuring OLED screen that packs 2.36 million dots same as the G85’s. It comes with a magnification that’s equivalent to 0.74x in 35mm terms, The 3-inch rear display comes with 1.04 million-dot resolution which is also an OLED screen, unlike the G85’s LCD display. The display offers 100 percent field of view and can be swirled or tilted up to 250-degrees.

the LUMIX G95 can shoot 4K video in 3840×2160 at 30p or 24p and full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 at 60p videos with AF. Panasonic has also added a slow-motion option 1080P @120 fps (1/4x), 90 fps(1/3x) and 60 fps (1/2x).

As for Connectivity, there is a 3.5mm microphone jack for input, a headphone socket for sound output, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and a USB port for charging. The Panasonic Lumix G95 Hybrid Mirrorless Camera to retail for an asking price of $1,199 (approx. Rs 83,000).
