Oppo Reno 8 recently made its debut in the Indian market as well as the global market. Currently, it is being said that Oppo is already working on the Oppo Reno 9 series smartphones. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Reno 9 could get watered down in terms of charging pace as compared to the Reno 8 series.

The Oppo Reno 9 could come with a 4500mAh battery. Not only this, but the devices may also get Universal Fast Charging Specifications. The charging support to be offered with these smartphones is somewhere around 40W charging. Apart from the above-mentioned information, there have been more details making the rounds of the internet regarding the Oppo Reno 9.

Which chipset will power Oppo Reno 9?

The Oppo Reno 9 is said to get powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor or the MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor. This will put the upcoming smartphone in direct competition with Realme 9 5G Speed Edition, Vivo T1 Pro 5G, Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, etc. At a time when most of the brands are opting for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, it is quite strange to see Oppo opting for the older Snapdragon 778 processor. Now, one thing which we can say here is that Oppo is going to have a tough time competing against devices by OnePlus, Realme and others.

As for the Snapdragon 778 SoC, it has a max clock speed of 2.4GHz and has proved to be one of the best processors offered in mid-range smartphones. Currently, there is no information about the smartphone’s pricing. However, most of the smartphones shipping with Snapdragon 778G are priced in the range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000. Speculations are that the Oppo Reno 9 will also be priced somewhere around that.
