Oppo Reno 2 has made its global debut in India. It was not so long ago that we had the first-gen Reno series. The superior hardware, unique build, and the cameras kept it under the limelight. Now, within a span of few months, the Reno 2 is here, broadening the Reno lineage. This one brandishes a quad-camera panel on the rear, which is one among the many new changes.
Besides the main Reno 2, two more phones were unveiled christened Reno 2Z and Reno 2F. Let’s unfurl the details of all the three Renos.
Oppo Reno 2 highlights
The Oppo Reno 2 comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic notch-less display with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. There is a G3 optical sensor fingerprint unlocking technology embedded right within this screen. This GG6 glass curves and meets the back. It is available in Ocean Blue and Luminous Black color variants.
The Reno 2 runs on the Snapdragon 730G backed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You get Android 9.0-based Color OS 6.0 on top of this hardware. It draws fuel from a 4000mAh battery propped by the VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support. You get a USB Type-C port for connecting the charger as well as for other media sharing purposes.

The main renovation, however, comes in the camera landscape. The all-new sensor island at the back includes a primary 48MP camera, accompanied by a 13MP (2x optical, 5x hybrid, 20x digital zoom), an 8MP 116-degree ultrawide shooter and finally a 2MP Portrait lens.
Oppo carries over the Sharkfin module for the 16MP front camera.
Other options that make the cut are an ultra-dark mode, ultra-steady videos at 60fps, macro mode, wide-angle videos, video zoom, and bokeh video (both front & back).
