After revealing the Reno 12 Pro 5G (review) in India, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo, is gearing up for another launch. A new Flipkart teaser suggests that the company could launch a K series smartphone in India, and it could be none other than the Oppo K12x. Since the smartphone is already available in the Chinese market, we have a fair idea of its specifications and price. Without any further ado, let’s dive into more details.

Flipkart Poster Teases The Oppo K Series
As seen in a new Flipkart poster, Oppo could launch a new smartphone. It is most likely to be from the ‘K’ series, as the teaser shows a person making the alphabet ‘K’ with his fingers. The smartphone’s tagline, as seen in the poster, is “something epiK” (with a capital K). Further, the teaser is listed under “Coming soon by Oppo,” which indicates the imminent launch in the Indian market.
Oppo K12x Specifications (Expected)
We believe that this could be the Oppo K12x, a smartphone that debuted in China in March 2024. Per the Chinese spec sheet, the handset could come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach 2,100 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the K12x could feature the three-year-old Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, an octa-core processor with its prime core at 2.2GHz.

Besides the mid-range chipset, the smartphone could come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage in India. Regarding optics, the K12x could feature a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, users may get a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie shooter, which should record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
Powering the smartphone is a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Additional features of the Oppo K12x could include a stereo speaker setup, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. It also features an under-display fingerprint scanner. From what it looks like, the Reno K12x could be a rebranded OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite.
Oppo K12x Price (Expected)
The Oppo K12x could cost around Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 23,000 in India. Initially, the brand could provide some introductory offers that reduce the price by Rs. 1,000 or 2,000.
