The success OnePlus enjoys today isn’t accidental. There are several things, big and small, that it does right and they all ultimately add up to a premium feel. One such seemingly inconsequential, yet powerful aspect of OnePlus phones are the fascinating wallpapers that lend a unique personality to each one of them. After all, you only get one chance to make a lasting first impression.
OnePlus recently introduced, Hampus Olsson, the man responsible for adding this art quotient to its devices. Hampus is a Swedish artist who has been designing OnePlus Wallpapers since OP 2. His work also includes designing websites, illustrations, branding, games, apps, and fashion.
In a detailed forum post, he shares his inspirations that have manifested in OnePlus wallpapers over the last three years. Suffice to say, Hampus has constantly evolved and reinvented his style in a big way each generation.
In his own words, “Being able to create things out of nothing has always felt so nice to me. I get inspired by trying out new kind of art forms and new ways of being creative, it inspires me to come up with something challenging and different from what I used to do.”
Of course, the center point upon which all this conversation converges is the OnePlus 6 Wallpapers. Here is what Hampus had to say:
“With the OnePlus 6 wallpapers, I’ve brought with me what I’ve learned along the way. The new wallpapers feature a clean, fluid style with mountainous depths… if I were to compare the new wallpapers with the first ones I made for OnePlus, I would say the new ones are more vibrant, and hold a better, more suitable composition to reveal…”
