TL; DR
- The phone seems to have a shiny aluminum frame with the power and volume buttons on the upper-right frame (when unfolded).
- Motorola seems to be very fond of the large cover screen, which is why the company isn’t changing that aspect at all.
As we reach the yearly Motorola Razr update cycle, reports about the purported Razr 60 Ultra have started to surface online. The most recent one comes from folks at Android Headlines, who seem to have got their hands on the upcoming foldable’s renders. Without any further ado, let’s talk about the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra (or what the company calls the Razr Plus 2025 in the United States), what it looks like, and what upgrades it could offer.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra Design

First and foremost, the phone uses the codename “Orion.” As mentioned, the publication has shared some high-quality renders of the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra in its dark green color, which seems to have faux leather for the back panel. It is not uncommon for the Razr series to come with the material, as the Razr 50 Ultra shipped with a leather back on all its finishes.
The images reveal plenty of details about the smartphone’s chassis. For instance, the phone seems to have a shiny aluminum frame with the power and volume buttons on the upper-right frame (when unfolded) and what looks like another button on the upper-right frame. Then there’s the shiny hinge, which appears no different than the one we’ve seen last year.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra Specifications (Rumored)

Motorola seems to be very fond of the large cover screen, which is why the company isn’t changing that aspect at all. The renders have a large cover screen that runs from one edge of the foldable half to the other (with symmetrical bezels). Mounted within the screen are the phone’s primary camera sensors, which don’t appear to have changed at all.
The arrangement of functional elements like the SIM tray, primary microphone, the USB-C port, and the primary speaker remains the same as well (on the bottom frame). On the inside, the smartphone has a punch-hole screen with symmetrical bezels (similar to the Razr 50 Ultra). Even otherwise, the phone seems to have a similar footprint as its predecessor.
When unfolded, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra should offer the same 6.9-inch screen as its predecessor. Under the hood, the foldable could feature the seven-core version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, along with up to 12GB of memory and at least 256GB of storage.

A recent GeekBench listing differs from the report, though, stating that the handset could come with the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, scoring 2,782/8,457 points in the single/multi-core GeekBench 6 performance test. While the processor should give the phone a decent performance boost, the 4,000 mAh battery might drain quicker due to the additional horsepower.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Release Date And Price (Expected)
According to rumors, the foldable could debut before its yearly update cycle. We could see Motorola drop the Razr 60 Ultra in March or April (as opposed to the regular launch cycle in June). Whether or not we see a hike in the prices is something that time will tell.
