Motorola has unveiled the Razr 5G, which is more of an incremental upgrade over the original. The Razr 2019 had pinned its hopes on nostalgia and did manage to cover some mindshare. But, now that the nostalgia has probably waned off, let’s see whether this one offers enough new to justify the premium price tag.

Here are the foldable phone’s key features and specs followed price and availability details.

Motorola Razr 2 Highlights

The design is pretty much the same except for some refinements here and there. It has got an improved hinge mechanism. When its unfolded flat, the joint is pretty much gapless. However, while folding and unfolding it you’d notice tiny spaces beneath the panel.

Speaking of which, here you get an OLED screen that stretches 6.2-inches in the unfolded state. It has got a 21:9 aspect ratio and 2142 x 876-pixel resolution. Moto claims the device is “water repellant”, however which isn’t the same as waterproof certified.

There is a pretty evident notch up top which is home to a 20MP selfie snapper. The rear camera is a 48MP sensor that sits beneath the 2.7-inch OLED cover screen. This main shooter supports OIS and 4k@30fps videography.

Inside the phone helms a Snapdragon 765G processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The internals also houses a 2800mAh battery that’s backed by a 15W fast charger. The software is Android 10 with the proprietary My UX that brings the useful moto actions to the device. The brand is promising 2 guaranteed major OS upgrades (which means you’ll be getting Android 11) and bi-monthly security patches for 2 years.

the price point of the phone is really disappointing, plus the fact that it seems uncomfortable & you can’t open it with one hand with ease
