On Tuesday, Motorola unveiled new smartphones under the Motorola Edge branding. It is dubbed the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion powered by a flagship-cadre Snapdragon chipset, a 144Hz pOLED curved panel. Here’s everything you need to know about the two devices that have reprised the Motorola Edge 30 series.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion Pricing and Availability

Talking about Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the phone is available at INR 59,999/- for the 8GB+128GB variant although you can get your hands on it at INR 54,999/- for a limited time. You can choose between Starlight White and Interstellar Black colorways.

Earlier launched internationally, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is now officially available in India at INR 42,999/- for the 8GB+128GB variant. Although the phone is available in many colors, only Solar Gold and Cosmic Grey are available in India.

There’s a third model in the series that was launched internationally i.e. the Edge 30 Neo. It retailed for EUR369.99 which is roughly INR 30,000/- after currency conversion. It will be available in selected countries in Latin America and will be available in the coming weeks and may not make it to India. As usual, dates for the same aren’t available.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Specifications

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra brings on board a ginormous 6.67-inch pOLED FHD+ curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel lights up for 1250 nits with its peak brightness levels. It is HDR10+ supported along with DCI-P3 color space. On top, there’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting the panel from shattering and scratching for a long time.

The powertrain under the hood is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which is currently onboard every major flagship smartphone out there. There’s 12GB Of LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 powered 256GB storage on its single variant. Motorola Edge 30 Ultra draws power from its 4,610mAh battery pack paired along with 125W fast charging which is almost twice what the Edge 30 Fusion offers. Finally, there’s 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging tech onboard as well.

Motorola has gone full-fledged with the device equipping it with a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 200MP snapper with OIS, f/1.95 aperture, and a 50MP ultrawide snapper alongside. There’s a 12MP telephoto snapper with 2x optical zoom capabilities as well. Even the front cam is a ginormous 60MP snapper housing in a relatively tiny punch-hole snapper.

Lastly, we have a series of connectivity features like GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, USB-C port, a stereo speaker, triple microphone, Dolby Atmos, an In-display FPS, and an IP52 rating against splashes and dust.

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Specifications

The flagship variant, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion brings onboard a 6.55″ curved Endless Edge pOLED display panel with 1080×2400 pixels i.e. FHD+. There’s a 144Hz refresh rate onboard along with a snappy 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display has HDR10+ support and brightens up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The display is curved with a punch-hole cut-out on it for the front cam.

The phone weighs 175grams for others and 168grams for the vegan variant. There’s a dual microphone and a dual stereo speaker support onboard with Edge 30 Fusion. The phone has a metal frame, a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top, and IP52 water and dust resistance.

Moving on, the motherboard has a Snapdragon 888+ SoC alongside up to 128GB UFS 3.1 storage and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. On the software side, we have an Android 12-powered MyUX UI.

About the optics, the front cam is a 32MP snapper while the rear has a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary snapper that has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 13MP ultrawide snapper paired with a built-in macro vision cam for macro shots. It shoots at a max 4K resolution at 30fps. The camera bump is on the left of the back panel with vertically stacked lenses.

Next up, we have the battery pack at 4400 mAh tied with a 68W TurboPower for blazing fast charging support. Connectivity features onboard the flagship phone has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB-C port, and NFC among others.

Motorola Edge 30 Neo Specifications

This is a mid-range device powered by a Snapdragon 685 SoC although it is not available in India as of now. The phone has 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. On the software end, you get Android 12 out-of-the-box with MyUX UI. It has a slightly trimmed-out display at 6.28-inch OLED with a punch-hole to the center for a selfie cam. It refreshes at 120Hz and has an FHD+ resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The optics onboard are a 64MP primary cam with 13MP ultrawide snapper that doubles as a maco snapper. Finally, the front has a 32MP selfie shooter.

Moving on, there’s a dual stereo speaker, dual microphone setup, dual-band WiFi support, dual 5G SIM support, and IP52 water and dust resistance. The battery pack onboard has a 4,020mAh capacity paired with 68W TurboPower fast wired charging with 5W wireless charging support.
