Moto X40 could give a tough competition to the upcoming iQOO 11 5G

Seems like the Moto offering has an upper hand

Motorola has recently rolled out a new smartphone named Moto X40 in the Chinese market. The smartphone is the successor of the Moto X30 that appeared in the market last year. Talking about the latest offering by Moto, it brings multiple upgrades to the table. A major highlight of the device is that it brings a whopping 165Hz refresh rate which makes it the first phone to carry the same.

This time, Moto has also made a few changes in the design as we can spot the square-shaped camera island, including three sensors and a circular flash situated at the top left corner of the device. The Motorola branding can be spotted on the center of the screen. The power button and volume rockers of the smartphone are located on the right spine.

As for the pricing, the Moto X40’s 8GB RAM variant with 256GB internal storage is available in the market at a price of CNY 3,399, which converts to Rs 40,300. On the other hand, the 12GB RAM variant of the device with 512GB internal storage is available in the market for CNY 4,299, which converts to 51,000. The device ships in two different colour variants: Blue and Black.

Until now, there is no information regarding the India launch of the Moto offering. However, whenever it makes an entry in India, Moto X40 will have a neck to neck battle against the upcoming iQOO 11 as both the devices run on the same processor. Talking about the iQOO 11 5G, it is going to launch in India on January 10.

Moto X40 vs iQOO 11 5G: What will be the grounds of face-off?

The Moto X40 includes a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display coupled with a 165Hz refresh rate for a snappy experience. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It operates on MyUI 5.0, based on the Android 13 operating system. To tackle heating issues, the handset also gets a three-dimensional liquid cooling system.

In terms of optics, we get to see a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter with OIS, a 50MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 12MP telephoto shooter. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the smartphone flaunts a 60MP front snapper. It draws power from a 4600mAh battery that supports 125W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner for the purpose of security.

Now coming to the iQOO 11 5G, it features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display coupled with 144Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. When it comes to camera, the device will rock a triple rear camera set up consisting of a 50MP primary shooter, 13MP secondary shooter, and a 8MP ultra wide angle shooter. It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
