Moto G42 launching in India on July 4: Flipkart page reveals major specs

Moto G42 launching on 4th July is powered by Snapdragon 680 series chipset and features a triple camera rear setup

After launching Edge 30 and Moto G52 smartphones recently, Motorola is all set to launch the successor to the Moto G40 in India. Motorola G42 has been confirmed to arrive on July 4 in the country. A page on the e-commerce website Flipkart went live which has revealed a whole lot of information about the device.

Motorola Moto G42 Specs & Features

The Moto G42 will come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a hole punch cutout for the single 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and is powered by Snapdragon 680 chipset with 64GB storage. RAM is still unclear (expected to be 4GB).

It will run Android 12 OS with a near-stock Android experience. The device will get an Android 13 upgrade and 3 years of security updates. It will have a dedicated microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

In terms of camera, the G42 will have a triple camera setup at the back including a 50MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a macro sensor. It will pack a 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging. The device comes with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. The back of the phone is made of PMMA which is plastic with a glass-like finish. The display has a thick chin.

Motorola Moto G42: Color Variants and expected price

Moto G42 has been seen in blue and pink colors and the brand calls them Atlantic Green and Metallic Rose respectively.

We don’t know if the smartphone will go on sale on 4th July itself or afterward. The Moto G42 is expected to be priced under Rs. 15,000 in India.
