The Moto Dilemma: Is It Moto X Or Moto G5 Plus?

Motorola and Lenovo’s plans to introduce the latest addition to its highly successful G series, the Moto G5 Plus, just went for a toss as photos and information related to the yet to be unveiled phone surfaced online.

Though the phone appears to bear a striking resemblance to the previously announced Moto X, its specifications are along the same lines as the company’s G series of smartphones.

Coming to the specifications, the phone runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and is supposedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core Chipset along with 4GB RAM and an Adreno 506 GPU.

According to the Romanian seller, who’s apparently got his hands on the phone, the Moto G5 Plus features a 5.5-inch screen, 32GB of in-built storage capacity and a sizeable 3,080mAH battery.

Apparently, the phone has a 13MP primary camera along with a 5MP front camera. The phone is also said to have a fingerprint sensor at the front.

The Moto G5 Plus put on sale by the seller bears the mark ‘Motorola confidential property, not for sale’ and is available for roughly $387 (Rs. 26,360).

Lenovo had presumably decided to unveil the phone to the global market in March this year (quite possibly at the Mobile World Congress in late February).

Surprisingly, the post hasn’t been put down and the phone still continues to be up for grabs. Whether it attracts buyers or not, remains to be seen.
