Micromax has added a new smartphone to its portfolio. The new budget-focused smartphone arrives in the IN series dubbed as Micromax IN 2C making it a direct successor to Micromax IN 2B which was launched last year. The phone brings an assortment of specs that look similar with a price tag of INR 7,499 in India.

Micromax IN 2C Pricing in India

According to the pricing, the Micromax IN 2C carries a price tag of INR 7,499/- as its special introductory offer. The device has its original price of INR 8,499/- that will be levied once the introductory offer ends. The IN 2C goes on sale in India on May 1 in two major color variants aka Silver and Brown.

Micromax IN 2C Specifications

Unfortunately, Micromax hasn’t changed much when you compare the IN 2C with the IN 2B. The Micromax IN 2C brings onboard the same 6.52-inch IPS LCD 720×1600 pixels display with 420 nits with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and pixel density of 269 PPI.

The powertrain mounted on IN 2C is the same as well so you basically get the same Unisoc T610 12nm octa-core chipset clocked at a max 1.8GHz in a dual cluster architecture. There’s a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU onboard. Instead of options, now you have a single 32GB+3GB storage option with a dedicated memory card slot to increase storage. Last year, the IN 2B arrives with 64GB base storage with 4/6GB of RAM so that’s a bit of a letdown for those who waited for the device to arrive. The device runs on Android 11 which is near-stock so at least that’s the silver lining to opt for.

The battery that powers IN 2C is the same as that of 2B. So basically, you get a 5,000mAh battery with a standard 10W charging tech. There’s Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a few other connectivity features here and there.

About the camera right, I would say Micromax has degraded the camera right as the device now has an 8MP wide and a VGA depth sensor. The predecessor had a 13MP primary plus a 2MP depth rear camera so that’s a major setback. The front cam remains the same at 5MP.
