Mahindra has recently shared their plans for the expansion in the EV segment for both international and domestic markets. All EV enthusiasts can look for the XUV400 that is going to enter the market on September 8, 2022. The vehicle is going to be a electric version of the ICE-based XUV 300. It will be completely different Mahindra’s born electric SUVs that will be based on the INGLO platform. The born-electric range of Mahindra is set to debut on in 2025.

A considerable duifference between the XUV400 and XUV300 is that the former will be 4.2 metres in length. Mahindra will most probably offer large interiors and high boot space for complete comfort for the customers. In addition, the Mahindra XUV 400 will also get multiple segment-first features to compete with Nexon EV Max and Nexon EV.

Mahindra XUV400 electric specifications and pricing

For starters, the Mahindra XUV400 is going to be the first major EV product by the brand. The XUV400 will also help in shaping the consumer perceptions along with creating a positive impact for upcoming SUVs by Mahindra. The latest vehicle by Mahindra will have a brinze logo which was we saw on the XUV700 elecric version previously in the same month.

Keeping all that aside, the Mahindra XUV400 will also get large touchscreen infotainment system. The system will be powered by a Mahindra’s AdrenoX connectivity platform. Mahindra XUV400 has striking resemblance to the eXUV300 that was unveiled in the Auto Expo 2020. Some of the noticeable features are top mounted L-shaped LED DRLs, sleek headlamps, body cladding, rear spoiler, edgy tail lamps, and a lot more.

The vehicle have two battery pack option including Powertrain and electric motor. The Powertrain will include a single electric motor that transfers power to the front wheels. The electric motor will also generate around 150 hp of max power. The range of the same will be somewhere around 350-400km.

There is no word regarding the pricing of the car until now. However, speculations are that the it will be priced somewhere around Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. This will put the vehicle directly in competition with the Nexon EV Max which is available in the range of Rs 18.34 lakh to Rs 19.84 lakh.
