LG G6 To Flaunt 13MP Dual Camera With Wide Angle Lens

The South Korean electronics company LG is all set to launch its new flagship at the MWC 2017. After releasing the teaser of its new UX 6.0 user interface, the company has confirmed its camera specifications.

The LG G6, will sport a 13MP dual camera setup at the back which will also offer a 125-degree field of view, the company confirmed in a post on a Korean social networking site.

The successor to LG’s G5 smartphone, however, will not be the first from the company to feature dual cameras as both the G5 as well as the V20 (which came out last year) feature the same.

The 125-degree view will allow for the photographs to be shot in a square 1:1 aspect ratio and is being put across as being the ‘most similar to a human eye’s field of view’.

LG’s latest offering is a tad better than both its predecessor as well as the V20 as far as the front camera is concerned. The G6 will feature a front camera replete with a 100-degree wide-angle lens.

The company had earlier announced that the phone would come preloaded with a feature called Square Camera (available in apps like Instagram) that will dissect its mammoth 18:9 display into two perfectly similar windows, thus allowing the users to shoot as well as simultaneously review the snaps.

Along with that, the G6 will have a new UX 6.0 UI which will enable the users to create a GIF image by combining photographs in a loop (within a range of 2-100), apart from having a dedicated Food mode.
