Lenovo to Launch Moto Z In India Next Month

Have you been waiting for Moto Z modular phones? Guess what! your wait is about to end. The Lenovo’s Moto Z will be docking at Indian shore in the first or second week of October. The USP of Moto Z series are its detachable accessories termed as ‘mods’ which snaps on the back of the phone for added functionality.

On the sidelines of Moto E3 Power launch event, Lenovo India’s Executive Director of Mobile Business Group Sudhir Mathur shared that Moto Z India launch will be hosted next month. In his interaction with PTI,  he said, “We will launch 8 new devices, of which six we have already announced, in this festive season… This includes the Moto Z.” He didn’t reveal any information related to the model, availability, and pricing.

The Moto Z series and Moto Mods were first introduced in the month. Originally it included Moto Z and Moto Z-Force but last month Lenovo also added the Moto Z Play variant.

This new flagship series offers top of the line hardware along with an interesting design. In term of specifications, Both Moto Z and Z Force are powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB/ 64GB UFS 2.0 storage. Both feature 5.5-inch QHD display and are running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

On the other hand, Moto Z Play comes out of the box powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset, Adreno 530GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.  All of them are currently available in the US, UK and Latin America only. As of now, Lenovo has showcased 4 mods for Moto Z series which include JBL SoundBoost Speaker, Moto Insta-Share Projector, Hasselblad True Zoom, Incipio off grid power pack.
