LeEco Cool1 With Dual 13MP Rear Cameras and Snapdragon 652 Announced

LeEco recently became the highest stakeholder in the renowned Chinese smartphone equipment manufacturing company- Coolpad, with a total of 28.9 percent shares under its belt.

Soon after the takeover, both the companies have jointly launched a new high-end flagship, dubbed as Cool1.Cool1

The LeEco Cool 1 sports dual 13MP resolution (f/2.0 aperture) PDAF rear snapper aided with a dual-tone LED flash and an 8 MP (f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens) selfie shooter. As one might expect, the rear camera can shoot 4K footage.

The primary 13MP sensor is also accompanied by another 13MP depth sensor that can be used for adding artistic bokeh effect in your images.

A fingerprint sensor is placed right below the camera setup on the rear panel. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor can unlock the handset in just 0.15 sec and can be used to trigger the Selfie shooter.

The handset flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD IPS LCD display which offers a maximum brightness of up to 450 nits.

The device is powered by a di-cluster (1.8GHz quad Cortex A-72+ 1.2GHz quad Cortex A-53) octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor mated with 3GB/4GB RAM, Adreno 510 GPU and 32GB/64GB of inbuilt Multimedia storage. The chipset is backed by a juicy 4,060 mAh battery. Also, you can quickly replete lost battery juice, thanks to fast charging functionality.

The Cool1 runs Android 6.0 (marshmallow) with LeEco’s EUI 5.6 skin on top of it. The handset supports dual SIM cards (Nano + Nano) and skips microSD card slot.

Connectivity options includes 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB type-C.

The LeEco Cool1 comes in three colors- Gold, Silver and Rose Gold. The handset offers different price options with different RAM and inbuilt storage.

The 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage variant is priced at around 11,080 INR. The 4GB RAM, 32GB storage variant is priced at  15,125 INR approx, and the top end variant with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage should cost around 17,135 INR.

You can pre-order LeEco Cool 1 in China from Coolpad website, LeMall and Jd.com and the handset will go on sale starting from 24th of August.
