Reliance telecom arm Jio has announced a new JioPhone 2021 offer where customers will get two years of “unlimited” calling and 2GB data per month with a JioPhone device for Rs 1,999. While announcing this offer, Jio said that the new plan is aimed at its 100+ million JioPhone users.

Confused? Let’s uncomplicate the JioPhone 2021 offer for you.

Under this new JioPhone offer, a consumer will have to pay Rs 1,999 and they will get a fresh JioPhone with complimentary unlimited calls and 2GB data per month for the next 24 months.

Jio also announced another annual plan where a user can buy a JioPhone with 12 months of unlimited voice calls and 2GB data per month at Rs 1,499.

If you are an existing JioPhone customer, you can recharge with Rs 749 plan to avail unlimited calls and 2GB per month data for 12 months.

Reliance claims to offer more than the competition with its JioPhone 2021 scheme. “For same benefits, customers have to pay 2.5x more on other networks”, claims Reliance Jio in its statement. 300 million mobile subscribers are still on 2G, and efforts like these will accelerate to a “2G-mukt Bharat,” the statement further adds.

Announcing the new offer, Akash Ambani, Director, Reliance Jio, said, “There are still 300 million subscribers in India who remain ‘trapped’ in the 2G era, unable to access basic features of the internet, at a time when the world stands at the cusp of a 5G revolution. Since the last four years, Jio has democratized the internet and passed on the benefits of technology to every Indian. Technology no longer remains a privilege of a select few. The new JioPhone 2021 offer is another step in that direction. At Jio, we have and will continue to take bold steps to eradicate this Digital divide and welcome every Indian to join the movement.”
