Reliance Jio -a subsidiary to Mukesh Ambani-lead Reliance Industry, has proved a tough nut for incumbent mobile network operators and now the company is all set to disrupt broadband internet market in India.

As we already reported before, Jio is running JioFiber FTTH (fiber to the home)Preview offer in select cities to test their network. Today, more relevant information has been accidentally published on the company’s official website. Before Jio could rectify the mistake, a Reddit user took screenshots and posted them on a micro-blogging site.

As per the Reddit user, Jio posted the list of cities in where JioFiber registrations are currently underway. The company is initially (will be) offering FTTH services in nine cities that include Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, and Vishakhapatnam. To simplify feasibility issues company has already indexed various apartments and complexes in these cities, and segregated them under different pin-codes.

It also appears that Jio FTTH connection will come bundled with a router. Even though the service is expected to be free during preview offer, one will have to pay a security deposit (refundable) of Rs 4,500. During this trial offer, the users will get 100GB of data per month at 100Mbps, and the speed will be reduced to 1Mbps after the data cap has been crossed.

The accidental leak suggests imminent launch of the Jio Fiber services and it is very likely that Jio will make an official statement regarding the same during its upcoming AGM meet which is scheduled for July 21.
