In the ever-evolving landscape of the Indian motorcycle industry, one genre that has been relatively new and undeniably niche is the Bobber. However, breaking free from the conventional, Jawa has stepped into the limelight with its latest offering – the 42 Bobber Black Mirror. Priced at Rs. 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom), this striking addition now claims the throne as the most luxurious variant within the 42 Bobber lineup. Let’s delve into the world of the Black Mirror and explore how Jawa is making waves in this unique segment.

Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror Price

The newly introduced variant, named Black Mirror, is priced at Rs 2,25,187, making it Rs 10,000 dearer compared to the Jasper Red variant.

Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror Features

In the realm of iconic motorcycles, the renowned brand has unveiled its much-anticipated 42 Bobber model for MY2023, introducing the all-new Black Mirror variant. The most striking visual transformation comes in the form of a chrome-finished fuel tank, a design choice that resonates strongly with fans of retro and neo-retro motorcycles. But the changes go far beyond a mere alteration of color, as Jawa hints at substantial enhancements to the powertrain, elevating the 42 Bobber to new levels of performance and innovation.

Jawa has upgraded their motorcycle with a larger 38mm throttle body during the BS6 P2 transition, improving charge intake and combustion. They’ve also adjusted the engine and fuel map, lowering the idling speed from 1500 RPM to a more efficient 1350 RPM for an enhanced riding experience.

These modifications offer several advantages to the motorcycle. The larger throttle body not only promotes fuel efficiency but also ensures a more relaxed idle. Additionally, changes in the powertrain involve redesigned gear and engine covers. Furthermore, the Jawa 42 Black Mirror features a slightly adjusted rear suspension, providing riders with an enhanced level of comfort. The superior damping within this new suspension setup contributes to the overall appeal of a more laid-back and comfortable Bobber riding experience.

Under the hood, the motorcycle is powered by a 334 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which generates a robust 29.9 PS of power and 32.7 Nm of torque. This powerplant is coupled with a responsive 6-speed gearbox. Jawa has gone a step further by including a slip-and-assist clutch, ensuring seamless gear shifts and a lighter clutch operation for an improved riding experience.
