Huawei and Honor AppGallary adds MapmyIndia Move app for Maps, Navigation

Huawei AppGallery has been expanding its portfolio of apps to develop a viable alternative to Google Play Store for its Honor and Huawei phones. The AppGallery is the third-largest app marketplace and it now gets MapmyIndia’s Move app for maps, navigation, and location-based services. This is the app that Huawei and Honor smartphone users will able to use for navigation instead of Google Maps.

With the flagship mobility app, Move, we aim to take our AppGallery users’ experience beyond navigation to an enhanced mapping ecosystem. Our users can now access hyperlocal real-time updates, accurate locations, live traffic and ETA from a truly Made in India application,” said Charles Peng, President, Honor and Huawei India Consumer Business Group.

Going forward Huawei and Honor smartphones will come preloaded with the MapmyIndia Move app. As per the smartphone manufacturer, with the Move users will get high definition 3D maps with accuracy and details. The maps on Move app will showcase superimposed houses, buildings, as well as live traffic updates. The MapmyIndia has been offering Smart Mobility Platform to the automotive industry for years now. Various private and commercial vehicle owners rely on MapmyIndia services for accurate maps and real time traffic updates.
