JioFiber has scaled its operations in India and is now available with aggressive rental plans that undercut competition significantly in several regions. We recently switched to the JioFiber trial and one thing we noticed is that Jiofiber is quite easy to manage and configure.

Even consumers who aren’t tech-savvy can change their Wi-Fi name and password directly from the MyJio app in a few simple steps. Here’s what you need to do

How to change JioFiber Wi-Fi SSID and Password in MyJio App

Step 1: Open the MyJio app on your phone and log in using your Jio number and go to the telecom section.

Step 2: If you have a Jio cellular connection, it will show up by default. Just tap on the ‘Switch account’ option and select your prepaid JioFiber connection as shown in the image above.

Step 3: Now scroll down to the ‘My Device’ option listed under the ‘Useful Links’ subhead.

Step 4: This should take you to the ‘JioFiber Home Gateway’ where you can see all connected devices. Now tap on ‘Device Settings’.

Step 5: On the next screen you will see the SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band along with the option to edit SSID and password.

The changes can take up to a minute to reflect. Once you change Wi-Fi name or password, you will have to reconnect previously connected devices.
