After months of speculation surrounding the price of Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed how much players will have to pay for its next blockbuster title.
GTA 6 Starts at $79.99
The company has announced that GTA 6 will launch in two editions: a Standard Edition priced at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition priced at $99.99. Unlike previous Rockstar releases, there will be no Collector’s Edition or Special Edition available at launch.
The Standard Edition includes the base game, while the Ultimate Edition adds extra in-game content, including exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, and additional bonus items.

Rockstar has also confirmed that pre-orders will go live on June 25, 2026, at midnight local time across the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and participating retail partners.
Players who place a pre-order before November 20, 2026, will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes cosmetics and accessories inspired by the original Vice City games.
Another change this year concerns physical copies. Rockstar has confirmed that boxed versions of GTA 6 will not include a game disc. Instead, physical editions will ship with a download code that players can redeem digitally.
Pricing in Other Regions

While US pricing is now official, Rockstar has already confirmed prices for a few additional regions. In Australia, the Standard Edition will cost AU$129.95, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at AU$159.95. In New Zealand, the game will retail for NZ$139.95 and NZ$174.95, respectively.
Pricing for markets including the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and India is expected to be announced once pre-orders begin on June 25.
This confirmed pricing places GTA 6 above the traditional $69.99 AAA price point that has become standard in recent years. However, it remains below the $99 base price that many analysts and industry watchers had feared.
Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
