While we await the official teaser of the Google Pixel 9 series at Google I/O 2024, Rozetked has leaked hands-on, real-life images of the entire Pixel 9 series. According to the images, the Pixel 9 series will actually have three models this time around: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and an all-new Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL Sizes
The hands-on images of the Pixel 9 series match the renders leaked by @OnLeaks earlier this year. Well, let’s cut to the chase now. The Pixel 9 will sport a 6.24-inch display, slightly larger than its predecessor, the Pixel 8.
The Pixel 9 Pro’s display is smaller than the Pixel 8 Pro’s, at just 6.34 inches. It’s good to see Google making a compact flagship with a periscope when other OEMs drift away.
The new Pixel 9 Pro XL, as the name suggests, has a large 6.73-inch display comparable to the Pixel 8 Pro we currently have. The 9 Pro XL is the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL Key Specs
The hands-on images also reveal some of the key specs of the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 will come with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which some may find disappointing given the industry trend towards 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
On the other hand, both the Pixel 9 Pro and the 9 Pro XL will boast 16 GB of RAM but, again, 128 GB of storage, meaning that the entire Pixel 9 series will unfortunately feature UFS 3.1 storage, which is slower than UFS 4.0.
Regarding camera setups, the Pixel 9 will feature a dual-camera setup with a 0.5x ultrawide lens and a 1x primary lens. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL will sport a triple-camera setup, including a 50 MP ultrawide lens, a 50 MP wide lens, and a 50 MP 5x periscope lens.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that while the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL will support ultra-wideband, the Pixel 9 will not.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL Launch Date
The Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, is expected to be teased at the Google I/O event tonight, May 14th, at 10:30 p.m. Additionally, the event may feature a glimpse of the rumored Pixel Fold 2 (or Pixel 9 Pro Fold, as per the latest leaks). The official launch of the Pixel 9 series is slated for October 2023.
