Google has already confirmed in its I/O earlier this year, that the company is all set to launch the Pixel 7 Series in 2022. While we got the first look at the Pixel 7 device then itself, now a video has surfaced online which shows Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in full glory. The hands-on video shows the Pixel 7 smartphones closely revealing its design and specs.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Hands-on Video
A famous YouTube Channel Unbox Therapy has revealed the look of the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro via a video. The video has also compared the Pixel 7 devices to the Pixel 6 series.
The first difference that has been pointed out between the Pixel 6 and 7 Series, is the difference in dimensions. While the Pixel 6 Pro measures 163.9×75.9×8.9mm, the Pixel 7 Pro is roughly the same size but narrower at 73.2mm and wider by 0.1mm. The thickness for both is 11.5mm.

Coming to Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, the Pixel 7 is shorter and narrower than its predecessor. While the Pixel 6 measured 158.6mm in length and 14.9mm across, the Pixel 7 is 13.2mm. The Pixel 7 weighs 195 grams, which is lighter than the Pixel 6 (206 grams), but the Pixel 7 Pro has a similar weight as the Pixel 6 Pro. The 10-gram increase in weight could mean an upgrade on the battery life as well, but that’s not confirmed as of now.
Also Pixel 7 Pro has a more polished camera bar and chassis, whereas the Pixel 7 has an anodized aluminum look. The Pixel 7 models don’t have the two-tone finishes as the Pixel 6 lineup had.
The video shows the early developer units of Pixel 7 and 7 Pro that come with the Tensor 2 Chipset. While the Pixel 7 seems to hold 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, the Pixel 7 Pro has 12GB RAM. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are likely to have a 90Hz and 120Hz display and feature 50MP main camera sensors along with an 11MP selfie camera.
According to various reports, the Google Pixel 7 Series will go on pre-order starting October 6 with general availability on October 13.
