Notably, the smartphone is likely to incorporate a telephoto camera sensor, a relatively uncommon sight in devices within this price range. The camera module has changed if we compare it with its predecessor S21 FE(review) which was launched back in 2021.

Comparing the design of the Galaxy S23 FE with Samsung’s current portfolio, it bears a striking resemblance to the Galaxy A54 (review) model. The upcoming smartphone is expected to sport a flat display with a size of approximately 6.4 inches.

The display will feature a centered selfie camera and an under-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. Moving to the rear panel, the Galaxy S23 FE exhibits a clean layout with three camera sensors protruding from the surface, rather than being enclosed in a separate camera island. This time around the bezels around the display seem wider than S21 FE.

The dimensions suggest that the Galaxy S23 FE will measure around 158 x 76.3 x 8.2mm, indicating a sleek and compact design. These dimensions make the device comfortable to hold and operate with one hand.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: What We Know so far?

In terms of performance, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. This chipset, released in 2022, has powered several flagship phones and has demonstrated impressive performance in previous devices. Initial reports speculated that the Galaxy S23 FE might be powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, while some markets may receive Snapdragon variants. The phone is likely to feature a 120Hz AMOLED panel, although the exact display size is yet to be confirmed.

Storage configurations for the Galaxy S23 FE are rumored to include options of 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone is expected to house a 4500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

Another exciting potential upgrade is the primary camera, with claims suggesting that the Galaxy S23 FE may feature a 50MP sensor similar to the ones found in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 smartphones. This improvement would undoubtedly enhance the photography experience, as the previous Galaxy S23 FE model featured a 12MP camera. Details about the other camera sensors remain scarce.

Although Samsung has not officially announced the launch date for the Galaxy S23 FE, speculations point to a possible unveiling alongside the next generation of foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. These devices are anticipated to be revealed during the second part of the Samsung Unpacked Event, which is expected to take place next month on July 26, 2023.
