Robot vacuum cleaners have become a common fixture in many households, significantly decreasing the time spent on floor cleaning each week. Over the years, these devices have advanced from simple dust and dirt collectors to sophisticated machines equipped with surface detection, mopping capabilities, scheduling options, and even integrated dust and water bins in their docking stations, allowing for extended periods of operation without human assistance.
A modern robot vacuum can seem almost magical for those who have yet to experience one. However, the pertinent question arises for seasoned users who have tried various models: Is it worth upgrading to access the latest features?
Recently, I have been evaluating the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra (Heat). Founded in 2017, Dreame offers its products in markets including China, Malaysia, the United States, Germany, and Australia. While the L20 Ultra Robot Vacuum is the company’s flagship model, many of its advanced features can also be found in the more budget-friendly L10s Pro Ultra (Heat). The L10s Pro Ultra (Heat) is engineered to maintain cleanliness in your home for up to 75 days without your assistance. Having spent considerable time using this robot, here are my thoughts.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Review: Design, build & Initial Setup
The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Robot Vacuum Cleaner sports an ultra-modern and sleek design that complements any upkeep house’s aesthetics. It is large and needs ample space and a power outlet, so you might have to identify a spot for it in your home before setting it up.
The setup process is straightforward. The device comes with one base station, one robot, one ramp extension plate, a power cord, a one-sided brush, two mop pad holders, two dust bags, one cleaning tool, and one cleaning solution. All you have to do is place the base station first, attach the ramp extension and one of the two dust bags to the bay, and attach the mopping pads, which magnetically snap into the bay. You are good to go.
It can vacuum and mop your space for efficient cleaning, and one can choose what s/he wants the robot to do as it has three customizable modes.
The charging dock also has an elegant design. The robot and dock are white and will blend with your walls if painted white. The robot is circular in shape, and its sleek body allows it to slip under anything to clean every nook and corner. The robot’s top has access to a dustbin if you need to empty it manually, while the bottom has a dust-collecting roller and mopping pads.
Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Review: Companion App
It has a companion app called Dreame Home which offers various options for operating the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra. The app lets you choose cleaning mode, suction power, route, and more. It offers a view of the cleaning that takes place, and a map of the house can be edited the way you want. For those who will use the app for the first time, detailed instructions are provided so that they face minimum issues.
Q – What features does the app offer (scheduling, mapping, no-go zones, etc.)?
Yes, the Dreame home app has options such as scheduling for mopping. You can also create no-go zones from the app. The app also has features such as selective cleaning, where you can ask your Robot cleaner to clean a selected section or room.
Q- Is it compatible with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant?
Dreame is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri assistant.
Q- Can I remotely control the DreameBot L10s Pro Ultra (heat) from my phone?
Yes, you can.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Review: Everyday User Experience
If anyone can out-clean Monica Geller (yes, that Monica from Friends), it’s this Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat robot. I have been using it for a month, and this thing has surpassed my expectations. The MopExtend feature made sure that even the edges of the furniture and remote corners of the house were cleaned well. Moreover, it is smart as it comes with Navigation and obstacle detection, which ensures it can recognize the obstacles in its path, like legs of chairs, tables, or small stools lying around.
It faces problems when it encounters tricky objects like ribbons or shoelaces as it gets entangled, but this problem arises with most robot vacuums.
The feature that comes in handy is the robot taking a picture of the obstacle in its path and showing it to you on the app screen so that you can tackle it and the robot continues its job efficiently.
The same camera can also be used to monitor your home, as the robot can be set up to patrol your house when you are away.
The robot cleaner has a 7000Pa suction power, ensuring excellent mopping. There are four suction power options: standard, turbo, and max, with the max being the top suction level producing maximum noise. The robot uses AI-based image recognition to detect and focus on messy spots, cleaning them thoroughly by circling multiple times.
After it completes its cleaning cycle, it goes to its docking station to be recharged for the next day. When it is working, you will be able to make it with this noise. Having said that, it is not the loudest robot vacuum cleaner on the market.
The large dust bag and two water containers for dirty and clean water must only be filled or emptied occasionally. Dirt detection is also a part of the cleaning process. It helps prevent odors and germ formation and automatically refills detergent and water for cleaning.
The robot vacuum is equipped with Lidar Navigation, which detects objects, and AI to generate precise maps for cleaning routes that move through obstacles. It performs cleaning functions in smart and optimized ways.
Q – How effectively does it clean different floor types (carpet, hardwood, tile)?
Well, my home has two types of floors – tiles and wooden finish floors. It was equally effective on both. For carpets, it can automatically detect them and ramp up its suction power to suck up all the dust and debris.
Q – Can it handle pet hair and large debris?
Well, yes, it can handle pet hairs with ease. It usually picks up regular debris, but if it is large, I recommend you lift it manually.
Q- How well does the heated mop function work on different stains?
Dreame uses mop water heated to 58 degrees, which allows it to easily remove grime stains from the floor.
Q- How often do I need to empty the dustbin and refill the water tank?
It’s been more than a month since I’ve used it, and I haven’t had to empty the dustbin. As for the Water Tank, since I have yet to connect it to a water outlet, I have to refill it once every three days.
Q- How much time does the DreameBot need to clean a space?
I tried out the DreameBot L10s Pro Ultra (Heat) in my bedroom using three different modes. The room is about 150 sq.ft. with a lot of space without any obstructions. The Quick mode mopped in 7 minutes and cleaned in 15 minutes, focusing on larger areas. Standard mode took 18 minutes to mop and 25 minutes to clean, giving more attention to detail. Intensive mode really covered the room thoroughly, taking 30 minutes to mop and 25 minutes to clean, paying extra attention to nooks, corners, and under the sofa. Each mode adjusted its approach to make sure it cleaned efficiently and covered the whole area.
Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat review: Battery & Other Features
Typically, the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat offers 60-90 minutes of cleaning time and to charge it takes around 4 hours. The battery life also depends on the cleaning mode being used- is it vacuum and mop, mop only, or vacuum only, along with several repetitions and suction levels? On Quiet Settings, it will get 160 minutes during combo mode, while it offers up to 240 minutes of time in vacuum or mop-only mode.
The only downside is that you can’t unplug the charging station even when it is not in use. When this happens, the battery of the robot drains out very quickly. It lasts only about a day and thus needs a permanent power supply via the station. If you are unplugging the charging station, make sure you switch the robot off completely. Otherwise, the battery won’t last long.

Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat review: Maintenance
The DreameBot L10s Pro Ultra (Heat) is all about making your life easier, which also extends to its maintenance. Here’s the lowdown:
- Dirt Tank: Cleaning the dirt tank is a breeze. Even if you forget to empty it for a few days, it doesn’t get too gross, and when you do get around to it, rinse it out and let it dry before snapping it back into place. Easy peasy.
- Dust Collection Bag: Swapping out the dust bag is about as simple as it gets. The app gives you a heads-up when it’s time for a change, so you’ll always be aware of the situation. Just pop in a new bag, and you’re good to go.
- Mops: This is where the DreameBot really shines. Thanks to its auto-cleaning feature, the mops basically take care of themselves. The docking station heats up water to clean and sanitize the mops, then dries them out completely. So, they’re always fresh and ready for the next round, with zero effort from you.
Maintaining the DreameBot L10s Pro Ultra (Heat) is simple and doesn’t take much time and effort. With automatic mop cleaning and handy app reminders, you’ll spend less time worrying about upkeep and more time enjoying a clean home.
