Dreame Dreamebot F9 Pro review: Initial Setup
The procedure to set up DreameBot F9 Pro Vacuum Cleaner is very simple. Just install the DreameBot application on your device and connect the robot vacuum to it. Follow the instructions to get the vacuum started. After connecting it to the app, the next step is mapping. There is an option for fast-mapping and you have to enable it to confirm it. As soon as you enable it, the robot will go to every nook and corner of your house to map out the area it has to clean.
The mapping is done using the Lidar system and a map is created automatically. Mapping is fast and efficient as the robot comes back to its original position in very little time. If there are areas in your home that don’t have to be cleaned, lock them up before mapping. Depending on the area, it can even take less than a minute to map. The mapping is quite precise and after mapping, it goes to the charging station to get recharged.
There are a host of cleaning options visible on the app. Choose the options according to your requirements. The user can schedule a cleaning for the future, check the cleaning history, and also obtain information about charging levels and other parameters via the app. The robot vacuum gets connected to WiFi and it can be instructed even from afar. There is an option to choose a particular area to be cleaned and not the entire house. Once mapping is done, it doesn’t have to be repeated. The lidar system detects all the obstacles and objects too so that the robot can avoid them conveniently.
Dreamebot F9 Pro review: Floor Cleaning and Mopping
The DreameBot F9 Pro Robot Vacuum makes very little sound while cleaning. Although you can hear that something is moving, the sound is tolerable and doesn’t bother the user. Default cleaning mode includes a robot going to every part of the house. The brush loosens the dust and the vacuum sucks the dust on the surface inside the machine.
The cleaning output is pretty decent as I didn’t find any dust after the cleaning. The vacuum can easily go under the sofas, tables, and other furniture which ensures there is no dust or dirt anywhere in the house. The dust accumulated in nooks and corners of the house is also removed well by DreameBot F9 Pro. It makes its path and accumulates all the dust on the way. The lidar system detects obstacles and the robot changes its path or bounces back depending on the objects. It follows a specific pattern It passes twice so even if some dust is left behind, it picks up the same in the second round.
You can keep chairs or other furniture away if you want even better results, especially under the dining table. The robot vacuum can be a very wise choice for households where both husband and wife are working professionals and don’t have time for cleaning. While vacuuming you will even get to know how much progress it has made. After cleaning is completed, it automatically goes to the charging station to charge itself. Navigation and Cleaning performance are both pretty decent.

The DreameBot F9 Pro packs a 3200mAh battery that is adequate for cleaning a 2-room house at once. If the house is slightly larger and the battery runs out during cleaning, it will go back to the dock for charging and then resume from where it left off. The powerful suction comes with 4 adjustable levels and this 2-in-1 vacuum and mopping cleaner is compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant as well.
Dreamebot F9 Pro review: Maintenance
The DreameBot F9 Pro comes with a 570ml bin size which has to be cleaned out every 2-3 days depending on the size of your house and the garbage it accumulates. The process of removing and cleaning the bin is simple so it will neither be much of a hassle nor take too much time.
The mopping pad has to be cleaned after every use so that it gives good performance and lasts longer. Before enabling the mopping feature, you will have to fill the water tank. The main sweeping brush also has to be cleaned regularly. This is because the brush gathers hair, threads, and other particles, which if aren’t removed would hamper its performance. Cleaning it weekly would be enough. All in all the F9 Pro does need some attention from the user.
Similar to other robot vacuums, this one too needs replacement of certain components as they undergo wear and tear. These include HEPA filters, brushes, mopping pads, and more. The app lists that these have an average lifespan of 150 to 300 hours. The app also allows you to keep an eye on the status of these components.
