Coolpad takes its India venture forward with the Note 3, which will exclusively sell on Amazon.in for 8,999 INR. For the seemingly budget price tag, the handset checks all the right boxes, at least on paper.
To start with, there is 5.5 Inch 720p HD display, backed by 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB Internal storage, which can be further expanded by another 128GB using MicroSD card slot.
Then there is a customary 13MP rear camera sensor with 5 element F2.0 wide aperture lens, LED flash and a 5MP selfie shooter. Just below the camera sensor, there is a 360 degree fingerprint reader (can detect your impression irrespective of finger orientation), and Coolpad claims it can recognize your dabs in just 0.5 seconds.
Software is Android 5.1 Lollipop based Cool UI 6.0 with features like multi-window mode, double tap wake up, and smart gestures backed in. Other notable features include 4G LTE, Dual SIM card slots and 3000 mAh battery.
The Coolpad Note 3 paints a pretty picture on paper. 3GB RAM and Fingerprint sensor at these prices will definitely be enticing for all spec junkies out there. We do hope Coolpad has worked and improved upon the software this time and all pieces come together fittingly.
