Confirmed: Xiaomi Redmi Pro To Be Unveiled On July 27

There have been reports circulating in the tech circles, suggesting that Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi Note 4 and a Xiaomi Laptop at the launch event on July 27. This is the first time Xioami has made any official statement about its upcoming launch. Also, Redmi Pro is likely to be accompanied by another budget device. In his post, there was a mention of a “mysterious small partner.”

Xiaomi Redmi Pro is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 MT6797T as per Geekbench leaks. The MediaTek chipset will be supported by 4GB of RAM and together they managed to score 1845, 5012 in single and multicore Geekbench tests, respectively.

The “mysterious small partner” is rumored to feature a deca-core MediaTeK  MT6797M chipset along with 3GB RAM. On Geekbench, it is reported to have scored 1218 and 4183 in single and multicore tests. Both these devices are likely to come out running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8.

A couple of days back, there were reports suggesting that Xiaomi will be launching a Redmi Note 4 with dual camera setup on July 27. The speculations of rumored Redmi Note 4 and so-called “mysterious small partner” are almost identical.
