BYD’s eMAX 7 MPV will debut in India on October 8. 2024. Ahead of its launch, several details about the luxury MPV are doing rounds on the internet. For instance, the upcoming vehicle could come in a three-row model, a new front fascia, and offer a significant improvement in terms of performance. However, at its core, the eMAX 7 MPV will retain the same overall profile and dimensions as the outgoing e6 MPV.
BYD eMAX 7 MPV Interior And Exterior Upgrades
The eMAX 7 MPV will appeal to a larger audience thanks to its availability in six- and seven-seater variants. Even so, buyers should be able to fold the rear seats to increase the storage capacity. Further, the seats feature an upgraded leatherette upholstery, which gives them a premium touch. Other additions to the interiors include a redesigned center console with metallic inserts, soft-touch materials on the dashboard, and a panoramic glass roof.

Additional features include a 12.8-inch touchscreen, a wireless charger, and ventilated front seats. From the outside, the car retains a similar silhouette as the outgoing e6 MPV. However, there are a few cosmetic changes that set the eMAX 7 MPV apart. For instance, there’s a redesigned bumper with a new grille lined with chrome. On the rear, the vehicle gets redesigned tail lamps (connected).
BYD eMAX 7 MPV Powetrain Specs
Globally, the BYD eMAX 7 MPV is available with two battery packs: 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. However, in India, the Chinese manufacturer will launch the luxury MPV with a larger battery pack, which is mated to a motor that produces 204 PS of power and 310Nm of torque.
Further, this particular battery pack could also provide up to 520km of claimed range in the outgoing model. Will increased performance decrease the overall range that the eMAX 7 MPV will offer? We’ll get to know in a few days.

BYD eMAX 7 MPV Safety Features
The vehicle is said to come with six airbags, Levels 2 ADAS features like emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Buyers will also get dis-brakes on all wheels.
BYD eMAX 7 MPV Price (Expected)
The eMAX 7 MPV could start from around Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The on-road price could differ based on the state in which customers get the car.
