Xiaomi launched this 5G smartphone in India with a new MIUI 12.5 enhanced update that brings all-new algorithms ensuring smooth performance, improved RAM management, and fixes a couple of lock screen issues. Xiaomi Mi 11X 5g also has an updated Android security patch (August 2021 version) and has a super-fast 120Hz refresh rate with slim bezels and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Realme launched X7 Max 5G sometime around June this year and the company claimed that it has developed this new model based purely on consumer feedback and so it aims to offer the latest features at affordable prices. X7 Max 5G comes with a much smaller box and the Realme logo and slogan as one unit.
It has a textured matte finish except for a thick, glossy off-center stripe that encloses the camera module and new boxed logo. It is lighter in weight and isn’t slippery at all. It comes with IPX4 splash-resistant rating and a ‘Quick Return Bubble’ that lets you minimize games while waiting for rounds to begin and then jump back in. The slight drawback comes up in the camera department wherein daylight photos are decent but low-light performance is weak. 7. Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G
Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G has a design quite similar to Redmi Note 10 apart from having a wider platform and slightly different camera island. It has a polycarbonate sheath and a tapered back for a better grip. The fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive with the LCD working well in direct sunlight too. The matte finish is prone to smudges and catches dust easily but that can be ignored if you want a smartphone with a variable refresh rate.
You can switch between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates as per your convenience and the gaming latency is low. It has managed to get a score of 1502 points in multi-core and 519 in single-core by Geekbench. The only cons being camera setup is a mixed bag and processor is not the fastest in the market. Poco F3 GT 5G is a successor to the Poco F1 that launched back in 2018. The company claims it is meant for gaming enthusiasts in particular. It has a few lines on the back to make it look a little different and feels very good to hold in your hand due to its curved sides. It has a 120Hz refresh rate with a cleaner MIUI experience and gaming buttons on the right side of the phone. MIUI offers plenty of customization options like lock screen or shape of app icons and the pre-installed apps can be uninstalled easily. It comes with a 67W fast charger that takes less than 50 minutes to recharge completely. The only drawback is that the camera performance is not too good. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in India. It has a big 6.6-inch display with slim bezels and a dewdrop notch at the top. It has a polycarbonate back panel which has a glossy finish that the company calls ‘Glasstic’. The camera quality is standard and works well in low-light too though it has a single camera lens. Gaming performance is excellent and it has a vapor chamber cooling system with Dolby Atmos sound system. The only negative spec is the device still running on Android 10 instead of 11.
