Apple’s Battery gate controversy of last year is still fresh in our minds. The Cupertino-based firm was caught throttling the performance of iPhones with software updates to compensate for battery degradation. But Apple was criticised for keeping the users in blind and not offering them the other option, which is to replace their old iPhone batteries with a new one.

After facing flak, Apple added a couple of iOS battery features with its new build iOS 11.3 and even slashed the prices of its new battery. However, there were still the ones who got their iPhone’s battery changed by paying for the new ones. Apple is now offering a refund for the replacement costs it charged to such customers.
