Tech giant Apple has already shown off the prototype of the mixed reality headset earlier and now it seems the product is in the final stages of the launch timeline. Reports claim that Apple might launch its AR-VR headset in the fall of this year. It might be launched during the WWDC in June or even before than that. Meanwhile, the main product line-up of Apple is expected to see no major upgrade as the tech giant will push minor updates to the iPad line-up, AirPods line-up, and Apple Watch line-up. Even ios 17 is not expected to receive any major updates.

AR-VR Headset: Expected Price

The upcoming Mixed Reality Headset is said to have a price tag of up to USD 3,000, which is Rs. 2,46,650 approximately.

Apple Mixed Reality Headset: Expected features

The AR-VR Headset is said to feature cutting-edge technology and advanced iris scanning technology for login and payments. Design rumors suggest that there is a physical dial for controlling functions on the headset. The headset is also expected to have a provision for AirPods to integrate and an ultra-low latency mode.

The headset might run on a new OS that Apple is making, xrOS. The device has been called Reality Pro and will develop a third-party support ecosystem for apps and other software. Gurman also claims that substantial resources have been allotted to the project with a launch target of WWDC 2023.

What 1st half of 2023 looks like for Apple?

Mark Gurman claims that Apple will only give a tiny bump to iPad, iPad Mini, and iPad Air this year. iPad Pro will get an OLED panel as an upgrade. AirPods and Apple Watch are unlikely to get an upgrade in 2023, and neither is Apple TV.

The only area where updates are expected is the MacBook line-up. Apple might launch a series of MacBook Pro models with incremental updates. A new 15.5-inch MacBook Air is expected along with MacBook Pro getting an M2 Ultra chipset. New HomePod is also expected with an S8 chip and an updated touch control panel.

Ios 17 has been codenamed Dawn and is expected to receive fewer changes this time. macOS has been codenamed Sunburst and this too is not due for any big updates.
