Amazon is rolling out a new free video streaming service in India called miniTV. This will be available inside the regular Shopping app which means you don’t have to install a separate app. You can search for miniTV in the app or find it among the sliding banners on the app’s homescreen.

The library includes content ranging between tech, beauty, fashion, cooking, comedy, and web series. Although the company is promising “new and exclusive videos” in the coming months, at present, the content creators on it are mostly from YouTube and other platforms and so is the content. We have big names such as TVF, Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Aakash Gupta, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Nishant Tanwar, Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Jovita George, Prerna Chhabra, ShivShakti, Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble, etc.

Amazon miniTV

Now, this new Amazon service is quite similar to IMDbTV in the US. But, as an India-only service, miniTV is mainly vying against the rival Flipkart Videos, which had launched back in August 2019, also as an integrated part within its shopping app.
