Amazon has a long list of Echo devices in various sizes and shapes to meet different user needs and preferences. If you still need something more, say, a one-stop dashboard to control all your smart home appliances, then get this — a wall-mounted “smart home command center”.

According to Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, Amazon is building a new smart display device that’ll be thinner than Echo Show 10 and can be mounted on a wall.

This isn’t the first time we have seen a wall-mountable product if you recall the Amazon Echo wall clocks. But, this one will have a bigger 10 or 13-inch touchscreen with all the capabilities of an Echo device like play videos, images, music, get recipes, calendar reminders, do video calls using the built-in webcam, use Alexa routines, and of course enjoy the smart assistant.

Echo Show 10

The USP, however, will be (again) how it will be a control center (for lights, locks, and other smart devices) fixed on the wall, without consuming space on a table or desk.

The device is still in the early stages of its development and as such, there is very little known for sure at the moment. Still, the tentative date of arrival is at the end of 2021 or perhaps even 2022. You could expect multiple variants priced between $200 and $250.
