In a much-anticipated announcement, Kia India has recently unveiled the pricing details for the highly awaited 2024 Sonet facelift. With an introductory range spanning from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the refreshed Sonet is set to captivate the market with its enhanced features and updated design. Scheduled for deliveries starting January 2024, the diesel manual variants are expected to reach eager customers in February 2024.

The facelift maintains the same array of powertrain options and trims as its predecessor, presenting buyers with a choice among three main trims – X-line, GT-line, and Tech line, across seven variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-line. As enthusiasts gear up for the latest offering from Kia, the 2024 Sonet facelift promises to make waves with its comprehensive lineup and anticipated improvements.

2024 Sonet facelift Design

The 2024 Sonet facelift marks a significant evolution since its 2020 debut, boasting a refreshed design with striking LED lighting enhancements. Notable features include crown jewel LED headlights, star map pattern LED DRLs, Ice Cube LED fog lamps, and connected LED tail lights.

The LED headlights start from the HTX variant, while other LED elements are available from the HTK+ trim onwards. Wheel aesthetics have also been upgraded, with 16-inch alloy wheels now standard from HTK trims and above, offering a choice between two crystal-cut designs for higher variants. These updates elevate the Sonet’s visual appeal and promise an enhanced driving experience.

The 2024 Sonet facelift stands out with an array of impressive features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an equally spacious touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin is further enhanced with LED ambient sound lighting and an electric sunroof, adding a touch of sophistication to the driving experience.

When it comes to safety, the Sonet facelift takes a significant step forward. Standard safety offerings include six airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control. Going the extra mile, the Level 1 ADAS options introduce advanced safety features such as forward collision warning and lane keep assist, underscoring the commitment to providing a secure and technologically advanced driving environment.

2024 Sonet facelift Powertrain

Under the hood, the 2024 Sonet facelift offers a versatile range of powertrain options to cater to diverse driving preferences. The lineup includes a 1.2-litre petrol motor, a robust 1.5-litre diesel mill, and a spirited 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

To complement these engines, the Sonet facelift provides an array of transmission choices. Drivers can opt for a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a six-speed iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission), a seven-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), or a six-speed automatic unit. This extensive selection ensures that drivers can tailor their Sonet experience to match their specific driving style and preferences, making it a dynamic and versatile choice in the subcompact SUV segment.
