2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza with new features and design launched; price starts at Rs 7.99 lakh

The new 2022 Maruti Brezza is Rs 15,000 costlier than the previous base model which goes up to Rs 2.47 lakh for the high-spec top variant.

Maruti Suzuki has finally unveiled the new 2022 Brezza in India and this time, the compact SUV comes without the “Vitara” branding. The biggest auto brand has brought six variants of the new Brezza with new cosmetic trims and feature upgrades. 

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Price and Availability

Maruti has priced the new Brezza starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country for the base manual variant and it goes by up to Rs 13.96 lakh for the top automatic model. The company has received a whopping 45,000 orders on the first day of booking. Here is the pricing detail of all the 2022 Brezza models.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Features

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Exterior

The new Maruti Brezza arrives with an overhauled design on the front, side, and rear. On the front, it gets new and bolder chrome accentuated grilles merged with the new headlamps and integrated dual LED DRLs. The lower profile has a revamped bumper in a matte black shade. The skid plates at both front and back are given in silver colour. It has been wrapped with new body cladding all around the SUV.

Maruti has installed a new “Brezza” logo across the boot lid on the back. It features restructured LED taillights and a black spoiler. It sports a dual-tone roof with silver roof rails and a shark-fin antenna. The redesigned geometric alloy wheels are another cool addition to the new Brezza.

It will be offered in nine colour variants – Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, Sizzling Red, Exuberant Blue, Brave Khaki, Sizzling Red with black roof, Splendid Silver with black roof, and Brave Khaki with white roof.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Interior

The interior of the 2022 Brezza gets a complete refresh. It now boasts a sportier cockpit including a standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a head-up display, and an ambient lighting scheme. The sound system is tuned by Arkamys. For connected car tech, it offers support to SmartPlay Pro+ and Suzuki Connect. The new SUV sports an electric sunroof, a wireless charging port, cruise control, rear AC vents, and a remote-controlled AC system in the top variant.

Safety features are an electronic stability program (ESP), roll-over mitigation, hill-hold assist, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera whereas the last two features are subjected to top-end models.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Engine

For the performance, Maruti Suzuki has equipped the new Brezza with the new 1.5L K12C petrol engine. It can produce an output of 103bhp and 138Nm of peak torque with mild-hybrid technology. Transmission options are 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic with a paddle shifter. The new Brezza SUV is claimed to offer a mileage of up to 20.15kmpl.

The close competitors of the 2022 Maruti Brezza have a long list including 2022 Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
