Hyundai has introduced the new 2022 Tucson to the Indian market revealing the design and specs. However, the Korean automaker will officially launch the compact SUV car on August 4. The price and availability details will be revealed only after the actual launch.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Features
The front face of the 2022 Tucson features Hyundai’s new signature geometric front grilles integrated with LED DRLs. The headlamps are placed in the bumper alongside the central air vent. The company has installed LED lighting on the back as well. The compact SUV has silver skid plates on the front and rear. Tucson runs on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson arrives with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a fully digital driver cluster. Other interior features include a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, Bose music system, and ventilated seats. It is equipped with Hyundai’s Bluelink system for smart connectivity features. It also supports Google Home and Amazon Alexa in multiple Indian languages.

Hyundai brings the 2022 Tucson driven by a 2.0L petrol engine and a 2.0L diesel mill. The former has the capability to generate 156PS and 192Nm of power while the diesel engine can go up to 186PS and 400Nm of peak torque. The company will ship the top variant with an All-Wheel-Drive option mated to 6-speed and 8-speed automatic transmission.

For better safety features, the new Tucson comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS technology to offer front collision avoidance, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and driver attention warning. It has a front camera as well. Other highlighting features include 6 airbags, hill start-stop assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
The competitors of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market include Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C5, and Jeep Compass.
